What a fabulous couple of weeks we have had at school! I cannot believe how close we are getting to the end of term with still so much learning and fun to fit in!

We have continued with our focus on ‘loving’ and ‘compassionate’ over the past two weeks with assemblies led by our Year 4 and Year 6 classes based on our termly virtues.

Happy New Year and welcome back. We extend a warm welcome to our families joining us this term. This term our focus is on our virtues of ‘loving’and ‘compassionate’.

It was lovely to join Year 5 and some Year 6 pupils at University College for Carols by Candlelight on Thursday evening last week, the singing from our children was beautiful and the atmosphere was very festive.

This half term, our virtues are ‘attentive’ and ‘discerning’. In class and in assemblies, the children have spoken about what these words mean and about ways that they can be attentive and discerning at school, at home and in the community. These virtues also form the basis of our celebration assembly certificates on Fridays.

This term our virtues are ‘grateful’ and ‘generous’ and we have been focussing on these for whole school assemblies and in class collective worship sessions.
