As we begin Lent, we focus as a school community on praying, fasting and giving. Fr Benedict, our School Chaplain, led a distribution of ashes service and a staff professional development session on Ash Wednesday to help us prepare fully for the season of reflection and preparation.
Our children have continued to demonstrate the termly virtues of ‘eloquent’ and ‘truthful’ in school.
It has been a busy start to the year with Masses, visits from the Teddy Bear Hospital for some of our younger pupils and School Council and Eco-Council meetings.
As we reflect on the past term and 2022 as a whole, we have a lot to celebrate. The children have grown in knowledge and love for others and demonstrated excellent service to each other and our community. 2022 saw a strong set of end of key stage data and we were above national average in both our end of Key Stage One and Key Stage Two data.
Thank you for attending Parents’ Evening meetings over the past week, this is a valuable opportunity to discuss your child and their progress with class teachers, we also look forward to welcoming many of you to our Work Sharing afternoons in the coming weeks.
This term we are focusing on being faith-filled and hopeful in school. Read our November 2022 newsletter.
