St. Aloysius' Catholic Primary School
“To know. To love. To serve.”www.staloysius.net
We are delighted to welcome you to our school website where we hope you will find all the information you need.
Welcome to our school. I am extremely proud to be the Headteacher of St. Aloysius’ Catholic Primary School, where all our pupils are ‘ambitious for the higher gifts’. Our school is built upon the ethos ‘To know. To love. To serve.’ Here at St. Aloysius’, staff are committed to develop pupils’ knowledge, relationships, and awareness of the world around them. We welcome children from a range of faiths and backgrounds – with almost 40 different home languages spoken – and we foster strong community links. A quote from a child during our recent OFSTED inspection was ‘No one feels left out here. We are like a family and look after each other.’
Staff at St. Aloysius’ develop pupils’ ambitions through our well-planned creative curriculum with God at the centre. We aim to meet the needs of all learners through challenge and deepening of knowledge, as well as providing support and intervention for pupils who need a little extra support to grasp a new learning concept.
To enhance the curriculum, we endeavour to use the wealth of learning opportunities on our doorstep as a school in the centre of Oxford, with visits to museums and parks and inviting visitors and experts into school to share their knowledge and inspire our pupils.

Our Mission Statement
TO KNOW. TO LOVE. TO SERVE.
“A good school provides a rounded education for the whole person. And a good Catholic school, over and above this, should help all its students to become saints.”

We look forward to welcoming you to St. Aloysius’. To arrange a visit please contact us via our contact form, email us directly via admin.3842@st-aloysius.oxon.sch.uk or telephone: 01865 311056.
EXCEPTIONAL RESULTS
School Newsletter
Newsletter – 27 June 2025
It has been another busy couple of weeks in school with Year 1 pupils showcasing their phonics knowledge and Year 4 demonstrating their multiplication skills in assessments. Well done to the pupils involved. This week I have jumped aboard a pirate ship in Chestnut Class and Acorn pupils have been keen to show me their painting skills when visiting their classroom.
