Dear Parents and carers.
St Aloysius Catholic Primary School is a Voluntary aided school. This means that the school has to provide 10% of any funding provided by the Government for capital projects (e.g. building work)
I am therefore writing to ask you to consider making a regular donation to the school. This will allow us to build a savings fund to call on immediately, whenever we need to undertake a building project in school, rather than having to rely on further fundraising. It will allow us to plan ahead for refurbishment and improvement on a sound financial footing
Please read the Building fund letter via the link below. A standard order and Gift Aid form is also provided below.

A message from our New Deputy Headteacher Miss Duncan
Thank you to those who have already made me feel so welcome at St Aloysius’. I am excited to be the new Deputy Head here. I have moved here from St Mary’s in Bicester where I was a member of the Senior Leadership Team. Prior to that I worked in an International School in Houston, Texas and I have also taught in a primary school in Buckinghamshire.
I will be teaching in Year 4 this year but I am looking forward to leading assemblies and working with children and parents from across the whole school.
When I am not at school, I play netball and enjoy reading and swimming. I also like to travel and visit new places.
I am writing to inform you that Mrs Kempton will be leaving St Aloysius’ at the end of the Autumn Term to take up a position at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Headington.
Mrs Kempton has a very long association with St Aloysius’, having had children at the school herself and then working here for many years, first as a Teaching Assistant then, for the last eight years as a Teacher across the primary age range. She has been the lead for English at the school for the last four years and has co-ordinated PE as well as Outdoor Learning. She also sits on the Governing Body as Staff Governor. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Sophie for all her hard work and wish her all the very best in her new position ‘up the road’. We will shortly be advertising for a teacher for Fir Class to start in January 2019.
Details of school events are in the current newsletter.
MAKE A LINE FOR PLAYTIME
Thursday 21st June
Lots of coins can go a long way. Your spare change can make a big difference to our climbing frame appeal.
In the spirit of the World Cup, our GOAL is to line up all our spare coins, from every child in the school, along the football pitch in the playground. We are sure with all your loose change we will be ONSIDE to secure the ultimate TROPHY of a Brand New Climbing Frame.
Can each child bring their coins in a named bag to school next Thursday (or before and leave in the school office). If you have a lot of coins weighing you down then let the office take the burden from you and larger donations can be left with them. It would be fantastic to cover the playground in coins and have every child feel that they have contributed to the new climbing frame.

Ash class have shown great ability acting out an adapted version of this Shakespearian comedy led by Jess Braviner from the Creation Theatre – funded by the PTA.
It is very clever and entertaining. Please come to the performance on Thursday 15th March at 2.15pm in the School Hall.
