Saint Kateri, sometimes known as the “Lily of the Mohawks“, became a Christian when she was a teenager and was baptized at the age of twenty. She had a great love for Our Lord on the Cross, perhaps because she herself suffered a lot as a result of becoming a Christian. She also had a great love of the sick and poor, and would always try to find ways to help them.
Saint Kateri died at the age of twenty-four. She was canonized (made a saint) on 21 October 2012.
