We have been truly amazed by the outfits worn by the children this year for World Book Day. Thank you for all the effort you have put in . The children had a great day.
Earlier in the week the children found out that World Book Day is celebrated in over 100 countries and that Barack Obama’s favourite children’s book is Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak. On Tuesday the author, Sean Callery, came and worked with all the classes. He made up funny songs with the youngest children based around their topics and talked to the older pupils about the process of writing a book. The pupils performed their songs in assembly and he showed them all the different people involved in the publishing process.
