Our School Chaplain, Fr. Richard,  is departing Oxford to take on a new Parish and a new school in his childhood home town of  York.

He has decided to recreate a previous departure from Oxford and go by train with his bicycle. (A fitting way to arrive in the City that will be the start of next years Tour de France*).   Please join all of us at St Aloysius’ school  to wish Fr Richard “God speed”  and in sending your prayers and best wishes, with ours,  to him  as he returns to what some** call “Gods Own County”.

To use the local dialect … Fr Richard, S’thee**

-Iain Johnson, Chair of governors.

* The Tour de France really will start in  Yorkshire next July
** Gods Own County – Admittedly it is called this almost exclusively by Yorkshire men and women.
** S’thee  – See you again soon.
